David Willis, author of one of my favorite webcomics, Dumbing of Age, posted on his page that his recent story arc had been bringing in a fair amount of fanart, and I decided to jump on the bandwagon. Dumbing of Age is an alternate universe comic that features characters he’s created over the better part of a decade in his other webcomics “Shortpacked” and “It’s Walky” and updates Mon-Fri. He has such great pacing and story development that I find myself going crazy waiting for each page, even though they come out so frequently! When I was first linked to the comic, I read it backwards from latest to see if I was interested in it. After going back 50 comics deep, I realized it would join my weekly rotation, and I read it from the beginning. This character, Joyce, is the first one we’re introduced to in the series, and she’s a fundamentalist Christian going off to college where her sheltered upbringing starts to clash with the real world. This outfit is from the most recent arc where she’s being pushed to wear something besides sweater vests, and…
